The Castle supports the Devon Air Ambulance and on the 17th June 2007 handed over £454.80 towards keeping this vital service to the area ‘flying’.

The money is raised in various ways, change found on the floor, use of the phone has a charge of 20p that goes to the charity and the lucky winner of the weekly ‘Bonus Ball’ competition donates £5 of the £49 prize money. Recently, Sam has invited local artists to display their work for sale in the restaurant and £3-£5 of any picture that is sold also is given to the charity.
